What are the different models used to publish an open access book?

There are several models for open access, and a number of terms that are used to describe them. Some models enable greater access than others. The two major models for open access are gold open access and green open access. There are other terms that are also used to categorise open access which might be useful to know.

It is important to be aware of what your publisher offers, and whether you must obey any funder requirements regarding which model you use to publish your work.
